This is our first Roaster’s Choice, which represents the rare and extraordinary coffees you won’t find anywhere else. Geisha refers to the varietal of coffee bean that is among the most sought after in the world. Geisha beans originated in Ethiopia but are now grown in a few regions. Panama for example, can go for $13,000 per pound! 

This particular crop comes to us from a farm called La Bastilla, which is a small farm in Nicaragua that produces some of the finest coffees around. We love this coffee in particular, because it offers a complex and layered experience which is almost reminiscent of a fruit-hinted herbal tea with undertones of smooth chocolate.

This coffee is something to enjoy on a slower morning - perhaps using a pour over method for brewing - where you can also sip and experience the distinct flavors that change as your cup cools. At Lantern, we are serious about bringing you extraordinary coffees. You must give this one a try!
