Matcha Madness - A Collaboration with Trending Northwest

LANTERN DONUTS  X  TRENDING NORTHWEST COLLABORATION 

We had the opportunity to make not one, but two donuts with Trending Northwest - this one in particular is the donut of @trending.cda! This is a first for any donut shop in North Idaho that we know of, and we're very excited to be doing this donut for the month of January.

As with every donut we create, it's done the Lantern Donuts way. That means our pastry chef expertly sources the highest quality matcha from a local shop, and everything is made with clean, organic ingredients. Chef Paul begins by making a distinctly beautiful and delicious matcha glaze - naturally colored and flavored with only premium matcha - to dip our signature raised brioche donut in. We also very lightly drizzle the glaze with some premium white chocolate. We then whip up a very light and delicate whipped cream using only the finest matcha, cream, and just a touch of honey (which is classic for matcha service) and pipe it into the donut hole. Finishing the donut are some candied black sesame seeds we make in-house.
